The Tamarind has gained a very good reputation among guests who are mostly Westerners. The popularity of the hotel is reflected on all booking portals as is also evidenced by an excellent occupancy. It is almost unique with its beautifully landscaped pool/garden area, which is also one of the main attractions of this hotel besides the tranquility it offers its guests. There is a full-service restaurant and bar serving a-la-carte breakfasts, lunch, and dinner, as well as cocktails. The restaurant could do with an upgrade in its cuisine in order to attract outside guests as well.
The 5x12m swimming pool is ideal for children too, and a nice place to chill for adults on the sun lounges. The beach is only 200 m or a 5-minute walk away.
A 45 KVA generator is on site to keep guests comfortable even during the infrequent power outages. 12 IP surveillance cameras with cloud recording and night-time security put guests at ease.
The hotel is listed on booking.com, agoda.com, expedia.com, as well as our own website and facebook. There is nice share of direct bookings, walk-ins and extensions (35%). The average stay in high season is 7 days, in low season 3 days, with quite a few repeat guests throughout the year. Guests are individual travelers from Europe, OZ/NZ, North America, and well-to-do locals.
We have been here for more than 4 years so it is a turn-key operation. No further investments are necessary. We recently made additional improvements and have done regular maintenance work. So everything is in excellent working order.
